Review on Origin8 Alloy Cable Single Black by Earl Ton

Great little bike fork that came without the shifter lugs brazed on. It easily replaced my old down tube friction shifters with an early 80's Trek. I installed old Shimano limit switches that can index with a Shimano SIS freewheel mechanism to prevent long access to the down tube switches. The Origin8 cable clamp (28.6 for my steel frame Trek down tube) fits perfectly, stays in place, looks good, is lightweight and very easy to use and perfectly aligns the cables along the down tube. There is no need to run the cable through a small hole, simply insert the cable into the open slot, push the cable housing into the notch and pull firmly against the switches. Some of the best things are simple designs, look good, and most importantly, work well. And it's inexpensive.
