I am a mechanic and occasionally work part time. I'm always packing and fixing stuff, and I got tired of ripping off the plastic roof panel that housed the dome every time I loaded something big in the trunk of my 2000 GMC Jimmy, so I decided to get rid of the plastic part. together. Since I'm working from the side, I need to be able to see where my tools are from behind, so I still needed a light from behind, so I took a chance. Headliner on each side and large 1/4" washers on back of nut bolt to prevent pulling through headliner. I fixed the headlights and hooked them up to the taillight wiring and boom bright lights! They have switches on them, I can leave them off so they don't have to turn on every time I open the door. I can really see how dirty my truck is now! Absolutely a lot.
