Review on Sony WI1000X/B: Black Wireless Behind-Neck In-Ear Headphones with Premium Noise Cancelling by Bambang (Bamz) ᠌

I’ll explain right away: I don’t want to set strict limits, announcing the advantages and disadvantages, I just want to share my general impression. I'm not a big fan of the AirPods craze or other brand name wireless audio gadgets, but I've been wearing earplugs all my life and Sony's wi-1000x initially looked appealing to my eyes. I am also a proud owner of a Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro, so no "wow" from listening could happen. However, the headphones produce decent sound, including at maximum volume. One review concluded that the sound was "weird". I partly agree, but I will say this: they are only as "weird" as you are pedantic. If you have enough self-respect not to hang cheap noodles on your ears, but are not so picky about the little things that it turns into a disease, the wi-1000x will suit you. Just like they fit me. But despite my indulgence, I have to say that the real price (15k) is more, more, more than overpriced and they must justify certain requirements and expectations. I've been using the Sony MDR-XB950AP for a little less than 3 years and I will say that these are wonderful headphones in their price range. As for the wi-1000x, it's that they're not far off. I hear the same Sony that I went through for 3 years and the price of which is 4k. This is all that concerns the price / quality category. A little about noise reduction. Here I have nothing to compare with, so I rate this function extremely positively. It really is, it is really useful when there is a lot of noise around. I discovered interesting combinations by poking different modes in the Headphones application from Sony. Being in a quiet place, noise canceling is unlikely to be useful to you. Headphones today, like the smartphone, are more and more watery and less what they used to be. The Sony wi-1000x is no exception. These are wireless technologies, excellent performance in high-quality materials, a fashion accessory. This is a Sony brand.
