Very cool smart light with Alexa and JBL speaker

I was installing recessed lighting in our kitchen when I saw this (remodeling the whole kitchen but was working on the overhead wiring when I came across this) and thought it would be a great addition to the fixtures I'm using. already reconciled. When it arrived it was easy enough to add to what I already did but gave it its own dedicated electrical line with a hidden switch in case I ever needed to turn it off. It was connected to an electrical connector but it didn't fit into anything I had on hand so I just cut it off and popped it into the Romex with no problem. Like almost all other new devices, it can be configured via an app. It became a special bone for me. I know a lot of people like having their home controlled by their phone, I'm just not one of them. I mainly use my phone for what it was originally designed for making and receiving calls. I use it for texting/messaging when I need it, but I prefer to use my PC or Surface Pro. I hated this app control thing from the start, but there are so many cool devices out there now that I'm just getting on with it. I think with really arthritic hands and fingers when I have to use my phone for everything it literally hurts and I'd like the developers of these products to consider providing an app for your phone or Windows (or Mac). I have a few that offer this choice of customization and control, but very few of these exist at the moment. Anyway, after setting up and linking Alexa to my Revain account, it's a world of information, music, news, and anything related to light control just by asking Alexa. It plays my Revain Music playlist or any song or artist that comes to mind. Or breaking news from the NY Times, or of course The Post. It's enough to simply ask Alexa to do what I want with the light, brighter or dimmer, or ask for help with a recipe. And of course there's always a prompt for Alexa to ask Samuel L. Jackson about the weather (it still worries me a lot, I thought I really got a lot for the dollar, but that has absolutely nothing to do with this Juno Light to do ). You can also set up scenes for the lights and it's easy enough for me to set up as a night light in our kitchen. When the set time comes, the light will turn on that scene and stop at the time you set. All in all, this Juno light is pretty cool and is used in my house every day for more than just lighting. We have several Alexa devices at home, but this one instantly became the most used and everyone's favorite. The JBL speaker sounds pretty good and is loud enough for me, but maybe not for others. The device itself looks like many standard recessed lights on the market, minus the blue LED light ring that turns on when you ask Alexa. If music is playing or messages are being sent, it will pause while you interact with Alexa, then pick up where you left off. could ever own one. Versions are available with voice control but need to be connected to Alexa (this device has Alexa built in) and with a JBL speaker, and another version without speaker but with voice control by connecting the device to Alexa. I do not have prices for these devices. It was easy to set up and learn, especially with Alexa built into the device. The app has a mute feature that you can use to prevent Alexa from recording every word and selling it to idiots online. I've only had it for a few weeks and I'm really used to having it over our kitchen island. I knew it would come in handy in the kitchen, but I didn't think we'd use it as much as we do now. I think the fact that we are in one of the two main places in the house where our family and friends gather has a lot to do with that. When my friends come to me, they always ask Alexa this or that silly thing (here we spoke to men over 60 and they enjoy it). I'm very glad I stumbled across this and very happy with where I installed it and how well it works. I would put one in every room if they weren't $400 a piece! It's a great product and although expensive it's worth seeing how everyone can use and enjoy it, not just my family but also friends who I appreciate and like to see when they're having a good day. Wonderful product and if you can afford it well worth the money.
