I bought the same product many years ago but the sheets were thicker so I could laminate ID cards, newspaper clippings etc. Now I still do this, but I have to waste an entire sheet because the only way to remove the backing paper is to separate it with the handy crease they provide (but being forced to use the entire sheet). I suspect they saved money and lowered the price by making the sheets thinner, but that's wasteful and not very good in my opinion. I would have paid more for thicker material.
