If this opinion is correct, I should have done it many years ago. My old 2000 7.3 used to be slow to start, but lately it's gotten worse, I had to turn the glow plugs at 65 degrees! This beast spins way faster than I've ever seen the old 7.3 spin spin. Best of all, it ignites instantly in a second or two with no glow plugs. I love it. I had to sand the crossbar a bit to get it in place. Once he enters, it's no problem. I think you could also lift the engine from one side and slide it in, but it would be a lot quicker to grind 1/4" off the cross member. Bottom line, Ford should have supplied that from the start. Starts fantastic! (update - had to replace , but not sure if it was my fault or a design issue. This only has 2 bolts to hold it in. The OEM has 3. The top bolt is loose (due to torque?) and the bottom bolt stayed tight, hence the bottom screw tab broke off.I'm not sure the top screw was tight enough based on the location. This time I'll check it out again in a few months and a year and still give it 5 stars. This thing spins my old 7.3 fast and starts right away. Great deal! If you have the old 7.3 version, BUY IT NOW!
