Multiple problems, died quickly

I bought this to use with the iPad Air 4 primarily for HDMI output to the TV (other ports weren't used right away but it seemed to offer more flexibility). There were several problems. Problem 1: Wi-Fi stopped while connected. The iPad still showed connected but no traffic. Very repetitive (deleting and resuming network traffic, reinserting, network traffic stopped). Problem 2: Initially, the video synced to the TV, but it only took about two minutes. After that, video didn't sync over HDMI, although audio did sync (multiple TVs, multiple HDMI ports on TVs - my old Lightning iPad would sync too, so no TV or HDMI cable). Problem 3: As mentioned before, this is very loose in the iPad's USB-C port. The slightest effort (e.g. pulling the cable to connect to the TV can cause it to fall out). Return and get your Apple USB-C Digital AV Adapter back. UPDATE: The video out of sync problem continued when I got Apple. adapter, although restarting the iPad seems to have fixed the issue. However, it started shortly after connecting this product.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
