I bought this to use with the iPad Air 4 primarily for HDMI output to the TV (other ports weren't used right away but it seemed to offer more flexibility). There were several problems. Problem 1: Wi-Fi stopped while connected. The iPad still showed connected but no traffic. Very repetitive (deleting and resuming network traffic, reinserting, network traffic stopped). This hub fits all iPads of the same thickness. EXCEPT 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 inch. It is becoming clear that the new ipad pro 12.9 inch will be 0.5 mm thicker in this year's larger model due to the new "Mini Display" technology. A thicker iPad results in a shaky hub. It will not be firmly mounted and stable. Please do not misunderstand me. This hub is minimalist for a creator/photographer, which surprises me. I have not used this product for everything but I have used the headphone jack and HDMI port. The hub works great with my iPad Magic Keyboard. As for the headphone jack, I can start and stop music on my headphones, but I can't adjust the volume. I used the HDMI port to connect to my TV and it worked great and looked good on the TV screen. I have yet to try to transfer the files but I am very happy with the purchase so far.

I love this little technique! It works very well and the price is great. The only small issue I had is having to remove the keyboard case to fully fit the Type-C connector. This can be tedious at times because I have to sacrifice typing on the keyboard to use it. But when I use it for screen sharing or just file transfer, it works wonders! If the back wasn't so thick or had a little groove to hold an iPad, I might be able to use it with a folio keyboard.

I ordered this to add a USB drive to my iPad as I work with a lot of graphics. It only fits the iPad when the case is removed. Something they forget to mention in the product description. I ordered a button extension cable but to no avail. The area around the port is too narrow for anything other than an iPad without a case. I have since returned this hub and ordered another one with more features and a built in dongle cable to work flawlessly with my iPad. I don't recommend this hub to anyone…

I'm a big fan of Anker. In fact, I've already bought a HyperDrive hub that works great. Compared to the HyperDrive model, the Anker version might offer better quality at a lower price. But there is one key downside. And it's like you can't use this thing with any case or cover. It's a bit thicker than the HyperDrive version and has a ridge on the back (front too) that should tuck under the iPad.
