UPDATE: The company contacted me after reading my initial 1 star review (below) and offered not only to send me a new device but even offered to pre-set the timers and try me! WOW. Such a comprehensive and fast customer service is rare these days! So I've updated my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this in August as a 'Today's Deal' to use from an outlet in my gated garage for my outdoor Christmas lights this year. This time I would be ahead of the game! NOT SO. First I waited until December to test it (stupid me) and found there were no instructions in the box. For me as an elderly (and more tech-savvy widow) this was not a pleasant find. Even though a good soul listed tips on the internet, I still had a hard time following them. This meant it took me several attempts to program the timer. But after the fifth press of the reset button, the button is BROKEN! It stayed in the "down" position, rendering the device completely unusable! And I certainly didn't use brute force against him. arrrgh! So I had to wait another week (due to my work schedule) before I could install my exterior decorations. In the meantime I ordered a simpler timer from the same company and it worked great. However, I'm REALLY upset that I spent money on this more complicated version that doesn't seem to be made that well. Apparently the window for his return is long gone, so it was a waste of money (and time) for me. Boo hiss! But lesson learned - always test a product as soon as it arrives.
