Trial and error is good for cell phones

The specific phone I received was an unlocked AT&T phone. This works with other carriers but contains all AT&T virus and AT&T apps which are useless and just annoying if your carrier is actually t.mobile. Still I sent it back due to freezing and shutting down at 25% battery. Sent back the same day I received it. I really found the T Mobile Lg G8 to buy and I love it so far.
