Bought this for my little one to wear in an art project at home. This was the first time I'd let him play with paint and make a mess, but I used it anyway hoping not to completely ruin his outfit. It will not cover her entire outfit 360 degrees since the back is open. I'd say it's more of an apron than a raincoat (in terms of protecting children's clothing). There's even a pocket on the front to catch dropped things, but if you've used it while eating I've found that the material doesn't make the pocket protrude too much so it doesn't catch anything. Overall I think this is great for a meal or an art project, but if you're using it for food don't expect it to catch food that falls off like a silicone bib. However, it protects your baby's clothes from dirt better than a silicone bib. Very thin but waterproof and light weight so no big deal.
