I bought this for a friend's lawn tractor that had a valve cover mounted fuel pump that died. I installed this and about 20 minutes after installing the tractor started but ran a bit rough and wanted to stall. I pulled the throttle out a bit and it works. Then I mowed the deck uphill and lost a lot of power. I pulled the choke out about 1/2-3/4 of the way out and it worked fine. I pressed the choke and the engine began to stall quickly. Choke 1/2-3/4 pulled and drove well. Still didn't work well after warming up, so bent the cam shifter a bit, but still worked poorly. A few days later my friend said it was working fine again but it lost some power going uphill. I removed that fuel pump and installed an electric one which worked with no loss of power. I left another fuel pump in case the electric one died.
