This product has the same problem as everyone else - there are strings to the product, put everything together, put it in a bag and viola! However, you must separate the colors and "guess" which is paler rather than lighter. Also, I just read the instructions in detail which makes me sooooo glad I did. This blanket says "SOAK DARK COLORS IN VINEGAR AND WATER" UNTIL THE WATER IS CLEAR. Because obviously "darker" colors bleed out when wet. I'm glad I saw this but disappointed that I have to go through this work to prepare for it. Blanket And this is the human idea of what counts as DARK colors; It would be better if the company provided individual colors clearly labeled with color numbers - and said in their instructions Soak Black, Red, Dark Green, Dark Blue etc. to tell me exactly which colors to soak, or I'm afraid gonna soak them all one by one! OR, to be really safe, I can go ahead and buy all new colored thread that doesn't do that soaking process, which can be less frustrating in the long run!.
