NOT SOFT CLOSE 90LBS!

It didn't work, the lid is still slamming shut. I have a nice heavy toy box that my aunt gave me, but the lid is so heavy that the child hurts when it bangs. I have hinges for a closer. No! Didn't work, starts soft and slow, you BAM, slams. I waited too long to install, so my return window has already expired. So I have no money and am looking for something that will work for sure. Also, the instructions are terrible. My husband and I just had to find out for ourselves.
