Just wanted to let people know that it works with the model above (spectrum standard in New York). The descriptions here of which cable boxes work and which don't bracket that model number, but I gave it a try anyway and I'm glad I did. My cable box is now hidden behind a cupboard door and I still have full control over it (it plugs into the IR jack on the back of the box - unplug the cable box before doing this for (theoretically) best results). ). It also has a very long range for signal reception - no more incredibly precise aiming required.
