Review on 5x5 Speedball Gel Printing Plate - Optimal Size for Efficient Printing by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Total failure

I've been printing monochrome prints since the 1970's. This was long before gel sheets were commercially available. I have six different records made by two other companies. I have NEVER had problems like this with this product. I used the same paint (Amsterdam, Liquitex and Golden Acrylics), sconces and paper that I have used for many years. Each print stuck to the plate! I changed the amount of paint, no difference. Tried paper with a different density, again no difference. I have orders and I really expected it to be great! SPEEDBALL is synonymous with engraving! I learned from their products and still own their print products bought in the 1970's. What's up, speedball? It's just a shame. When clamping a monoprint, you should have time to build on the plate. Not with that. The paper only glued by hand and the paper fully glued. I'm not just disappointed, I'm disgusted.

Pros
  • Gift wrapping stationery and accessories
Cons
  • Long delivery time
