Last year I bought dark blue shorts from Dickies, French Toast, Old Navy and Genuine. After a full year of socks and weekly washings, the Genuine Shorts held their color far better than the others (Dickies came second, French Toast and Old Navy were terrible). Although the fabric and stitching appear rough they have held up very well and are still in good condition to be worn for another year. Think of them as work pants - not soft or stylish, but made to last. This is the only brand of shorts I'm buying this year.
