Review on Streamlight 66603 Flashlight Micro Stream by Christian Byrd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Some constructive criticism - very bright light but small in hand and lost clip.

After using the Streamlight 66118 Stylus Pro LED PenLight - 100 Lumens (was a big fan) for years, I was finally ready to upgrade to higher lumens and a rechargeable battery. The 250 lumen Streamlight 66603 seemed to be the right choice. Shortly after receiving and charging I was impressed with the powerful beam capable of delivering 250 lumens. Also a big plus was the universal clip, which also allows you to attach it to a visor. What didn't work was the ease with which the clip detaches (and gets lost) within the first week of use - for reference I just slip it into my front pocket and it's subjected to normal everyday use (home and office). ). The other part, which can be a personal matter, is how -->small<-- it fits in the average person's hand compared to the Streamlight 66118. I always felt like I was going to lose it and that it would just be wrong or comfortable on my hand. I would like them to make a Streamlight 66603 just as big as the 66118 but 250 lumens (or more) with two rechargeable batteries now that they are in a longer body. 5.5 or 6 inches is a perfectly acceptable length. I chose the NFRAY rechargeable LED pen torch, super bright CREE LED pen torch, adjustable focus, IPX5 waterproof, NiMH battery included, 2 modes (high/low). I like the rougher feel, length and thickness of the latter, but wish they had a stronger and brighter light (and the price isn't bad either). Perhaps the folks at Streamlight will read this and have some suggestions or improvements to make. For your health!
