Don't listen to idiots

Amazing little flashlight. Don't listen to the fools who say HI mode is hard to achieve. If you're smarter than a flashlight, you'll figure it out in about 10 seconds.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Easily wrinkled

Last Streamlight I ever bought

I thought it was me. I must have bought dozens of these over the years and then I finally found out why; after a year, maybe two, something wears out and the flashlight stops responding to the "on" button. Something wears out, wears out, whatever – it just starts flickering, whether it's on or off, charged or not, new batteries or whatever, and what's the point, $25-$30 for a flashlight to pay that only works once? year? b

Unreliable in hand flashlights

This flashlight started well but after 3-4 days of light/light use the light started to flicker no matter if it was in low/high mode. At first I thought it was the battery level, but even after a full charge the light would turn off on its own for a moment and then come back on; or started flickering for a few seconds and then went back to normal. There seems to be a lot going on with this Streamlight model, which made me question its reliability. This happened to both my version of the Coyote…

Small, powerful, rugged

Many consider it the gold standard in penlights, and with good reason. This light is small and surprisingly bright considering its size. The included clip, the attractive and durable metal body and the charging function make it quite durable overall. You could argue that it's a bit pricey, but not by much. The only thing that really worries me about the flashlight is that the back cover can be a bit finicky when trying to switch from one mode to another, but that's how it is. A mild annoyance…

Streamlight never disappoints!

Have been using Streamlight exclusively for about 10 years now. We have 2 large Strion kits which are impressive, one was used as an auto mechanic and miraculously survived being dropped into a 55 gallon drum of gear oil. I also have 3 AAA versions (black, see a$$ as is, but this one is even brighter, still light, small and a great pocket device - virtually weightless. As expected, excellent build quality. Battery hasn't run out yet not spoken about its uptime and lifespan but it can be…

Perfect EDC Light - Flashlights

Finding a simple, compact and bright EDC flashlight is not an easy task. Most lights have too many modes and switches, increasing the chance of failure, lows are often too dim and highs are too bright, shortening runtime. This great flashlight is perfect for EDC - only two modes and a very handy momentary function, as well as the ability to always be on. Light output starts at 50 lumens, which covers 95% of my needs when searching or repairing in dark rooms. Even at 50 lumens, the light is…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Something different

Good EDC Flashlight for Ambulance Personnel

I carry this flashlight everyday as an EMT/EMS instructor. PROS: Small size, good battery life, low power consumption when first turned on, surprisingly bright high performance CONS: Weak clamp, hard power button. This light comes in several different colors and they work in different ways. This blue is initially turned on in low mode, double click on high. This works well for emergency responders as a low power can be used to check pupils without blinding the patient, but double tapping turns…

In terms of hiking

EXCELLENT / AMAZING build quality from Streamlight. Only 1.2 ounces, very light. The first push of a button has 50 lumens - ideal for working in a small tent or campsite without burning your eyes at night. 250 lumens in height is fine, but not that much. 250 lumens isn't enough for night hikes - instead opt for "Macro-Flux" which is 1 ounce heavier at 2.2 ounces, 500 lumens instead of 250 lumens like Micro-Flux. 250 lumens are enough for tent and camping work. The functionality is remarkable…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Damaged

After using the Streamlight 66118 Stylus Pro LED PenLight - 100 Lumens (was a big fan) for years, I was finally ready to upgrade to higher lumens and a rechargeable battery. The 250 lumen Streamlight 66603 seemed to be the right choice. Shortly after receiving and charging I was impressed with the powerful beam capable of delivering 250 lumens. Also a big plus was the universal clip, which also allows you to attach it to a visor. What didn't work was the ease with which the clip detaches (and…
