from experience. We had a broken key fob and now it looks sad with duct tape holding it together like a wrecked NASCAR. I have a new Tacoma and didn't want the same look so I gave this product a try. It fits well, is nice and cozy and looks cool thanks to its bright red color. It's only been used for a few weeks but it's holding up. The plastic cover that protects the buttons still allows for easy access. They do lose a bit of the tactile feel of the actual buttons, however, including that little tiny protrusion that makes them stand out in the dark. I believe this is a small loss to protect the key fob. A possible downside. It can be a little tricky to take apart quickly to get to the spare key (just in case your batteries run out). Also in my opinion a little compromise to secure your key. Would recommend - now that I know it fits well I'm buying blue or black for a spare set.
