I bought this tool for a home project as this model is cheaper than traditional copper ring pliers and you can use it in tighter spaces, and one tool and one head handles all clamps up to 1 inch. The tool came with a pass/fail gauge and was factory set to specification and ready to use. It works great on all rings up to 3/4" rings. Easy to grip handles, smooth operation, and good strong sealing crimps. My only complaint about this tool is that, even though it's designed to work with 1" pipe advertised is actually too much for them. I managed to make five 1" connections but it was a real pain. It took loads of strength which meant a few bottlenecks used almost every muscle I had to to close it. When you clamp the 1" knobs, you can feel and see how the knobs bend under load - that's too much for them. I would worry that too many 1" crimps will quickly ruin the tool, but will create amazing muscles in your arms! If you're doing 3/4 inch or less I highly recommend this tool. If you're doing a lot of 1 inch, get something sturdier and longer.
