🔌 Fuel Connector Sierra International 18-8088 Review

Based on my observations, this fuel connector is simply not worth the investment. While it may work for a short time, it quickly becomes unreliable and leads to dangerous situations on the road. The only positive is that it is easy to install, but that doesn't make up for the potential risks it poses. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reliable option.

Worked well during the season and connected the fuel line to my 8hp nissan 2 stroke engine. After less than a year, the fuel line connection to the engine will lose fuel, even if the connection between this fitting and the engine is tight. I haven't found a consistently reliable connector yet.

All four of my JohnnieRude have these Nissan style fuel adapters. I replaced the leaking OEM adapters by connecting a longer hose to the fuel pump, removing the OEM fitting and running about 16 inches. Hose through the hole left after removing the standard adapter. Insert a male Nissan adapter into this 16" fuel pump line and use a clamp or zip tie to prevent the hose from being pulled out of the hole in the engine. The fuel tank gets a female adapter.
