This device makes the remote an inch and a half longer than before, making it more prone to being carried around, especially in games like Wii Resort where you often have to hold it with two hands. I repeatedly turned off MotionPlus when it was supposedly bound to the remote. I can't imagine it lasting very long in the hands of active kids. Also, it's true what everyone says about it losing accuracy with aggressive use. I enjoyed sword fighting until I moved to higher levels where it took longer for the opponent to win. I had to quit the game because the remote kept losing calibration mid-game. It also doesn't work well with Wii Resort Kayaking. The same movement of the paddle that allows you to move left one minute suddenly pushes you right the next. This is because the remote doesn't properly recognize which way it's tilted. Like everyone else I bought two of these and they both have the same problems. I even tried kayak racing with two remotes and we both had the same problem. Also keep an eye on the battery level. I found that with MotionPlus I ran out WAY sooner. Why didn't they just offer it as a new remote with a switch so it wouldn't interfere with old games?
