In my opinion, the material quality and workmanship of this belt is much better than others. It's not too wide or too narrow, the hardware is premium and solidly built, the fabric is supple yet strong, plus the edges are finished and the stitching is perfect. This is the 3rd one I've tried. Otherwise nothing negative. It's just that this product is of a higher quality. It can be adjusted to different lengths. My 2 dogs weigh about 20-25 pounds each. I have them in the shortest length (15 inches) so they can't move around too much, which is exactly what I want. With that all said, here's the buckle deal. My husband has a Volkswagen, we have a Dodge Durango, both less than 10 years old, I also have a beautiful Toyota Avalon which is 20 years old and although the car looks almost new the seat belts are from 1996. I have it also tried it on our neighbor's 1999 Ford truck. The buckle matched the first two perfectly, but definitely not the older models. I could tell it wouldn't fit just by looking at it. The hole in the center is a different size and shape. Just thought I'd mention this if anyone with an older model car is wondering - look at your car's buckle and compare to the product image. If the center hole is different, it is likely not assembled for a secure fit or attachment.
