The only reason I'm worried about giving feedback on this is because I did the same for the Champion shorts and mentioned those shorts in this review . .Champion shorts are better than shorts because they keep their shape over time. However, many are sensitive to an open elastic waistband (as is the wife). We buy these shorts as an alternative to these shorts because they are much better built. The material of the shorts rises above the elastic, protecting those with hypersensitivity/allergy to latex and elastics. However, over time, they don't hold their shape and morph into culottes (for those who don't know, it's a cross between a short and a skirt, which most men wouldn't want to wear). They also fit that scene in Friends where Robert, Phoebe's date, comes out (or "shows his brains").
