I chose this camera, the first DSLR, because of the general advantages of SLT technology: constant phase AF in video mode, increased rate of fire, simplification of the camera design due to the lack of slamming mirror mechanics (in theory, longer service life), EVI (although for some this is a disadvantage) , the use of VI and LiveView is the same in speed. As for the noise of the 24MP matrix, everything is also somewhat exaggerated here. Yes, there is noise and there are a lot of them at high ISO. Yes, noise reduction kills the detail of a 24MP matrix. Who says that you need to take pictures only at dusk? And you don’t need to consider 100% crop. And on a 24mp matrix, the source can be reduced, corrected so that in the end the result will be the same as with a 16mp matrix, or even better. Full-fledged video shooting: in-carcass stabilization, interchangeable lens DSLR capabilities, depth of field control, as well as individual lens designs raise the quality bar much higher than that of an average video camera. I read a lot of negativity about front and especially back focus. I got lucky with my copy. This camera will be ideal for beginners "as is" even with kit optics. But when you want better glass, be prepared for the fact that Sony optics are expensive, and its choice is less than that of competitors, and local sellers still overestimate the price. In addition, judging by the reviews and tests, high cost does not mean quality at all . Therefore, to save money, I would recommend simpler models to beginners if they are much cheaper in your region - A57 or a completely stripped-down A37. The A65 is a model for more demanding beginner photographers who don't mind overpaying for a 24MP sensor and a quality OLED EVI and a good LCD display. I highly recommend buying old Minolta optics. For the same money that you buy only weak budget lenses from Sony, you can get much better Minolta glasses that are still in decent condition. Some of them are real masterpieces. Cheaper accessories can be taken from third-party manufacturers - China, Hong Kong
