I bought this dock/hub to use with the new Surface Pro 6. This allows me to use a standard size wireless mouse and keyboard on the surface and monitor. Then my Surface turns into a desktop PC, and as long as I have the PC's memory and processing speed, I'm fine. All functions worked except for the monitor. With the monitor, instead of full-screen projection, I got 2.5-inch vertical bars on the left and right of the screen. There is no setting on Surface to convert an image to full screen. This should happen by default. I tried two other monitors with exactly the same result After numerous discussions with Microsoft, I realized that the problem was with the monitors - only some monitors worked with the Surface Pro 6. However, one of my monitors was on the approved monitor two list weren't. But one of the approved list didn't work as it should. This is all Microsoft hardware and software. It could be Microsoft or that hub/dock or monitor to blame. This device might be ideal for other tablets and related devices, but be very careful if you have a Surface Pro 6 as it's unlikely to work properly even if you have an approved monitor.
