🔥POWER: The unit indicates "some appliances,.,require 1.5 times more watts at start up than the printed rated wattage." (12.5A x1.5=18.75A), "Start-up current (need 20 amp circuit breaker)", "Power: 120V AC, 60Hz, 1500W at 25C, 1650W at 0C, 12.5A", "Receptacle requirements: NEMA #5-20R, 125-volt grounding receptacle, 20 ampere.", "Check the breaker of your electrical box -20amp circuit breaker. Do not operate another high wattage product on the same circuit.", and yet it also says "13. Plug the product into 120V 60Hz electrical outlet with 15A receptacle". I have an old home with mostly 15A circuits. While I have ran plenty of other 1500W heaters on a 15A circuit before, I am running this on the 900W setting along with some other moderate wattage devices on the same 15A circuit. On high it trips this breaker too often.🔥TIP OVER PROTECTION: This is my absolute LEAST favorite possible type of tip over protection. I much prefer an internal tip over detection then an external push button style. On carpet this style often is difficult to actuate to get the unit started, the slightest movement (not actually tipped at all) and the unit may shut down for the switch not being fully actuated. If this flimsy switch piece cracks off, then the heater is practically worthless (or you need to shove a tack in it and duct tape it down, allowing it to run but deactivating its tip over protection.) I do not actually even consider this true tip over protection because if the button is actuated or stuck the unit can operate upside down or sideways (with pet hair getting stuck in it, or the heater not moving and staying running long periods of time this type of switch sometimes simply starts sticking.🔥PROGRAMABILITY: You only have 4 temperature targets to choose from (5 if consider OFF and just using fan) 59F, 77F, 86F and 95F. That is a huge difference in comfort level between 59 and 77F (18degrees and cannot select smaller increments for it). While it is easy enough to use the remote or manually toggle between these settings it seems a bit limited in actual options. After about 3 minutes of inactivity (no button or remote function pressed) the LED display turns off till something is pressed.🔥STANDBY/POWER-MANAGEMENT: When reaching the programmed temperature this unit will enter a standby state (and then resume when temperature drops.) However, if there is a loss of power or even just a slight flicker in power the unit turns off (awaiting manually being turned back on. Additionally, it does not remember the previously used settings and need to toggle them back as well.) Due to this, this unit would not be a good choice to leave running in your basement when going on vacation to keep the pipes from freezing (while trying to not heat rest of house) as it won't resume operation on own if there is a disruption in power.🔥TIMER: This has a 0-15hour timer (1 hour increments). If you start the timer you have to toggle all the way through all the time settings (plus one more time) to turn off the timer. Quickly glancing at it, it may not be that easy for some people to tell how much time it is set for (as you have to sum up the lit buttons). So one hour is just "1h" lit, two hours is just "2h" lit but three hours is "1h" and "2h" lit, and you need to combine the lit choices up to fifteen hours ("1h" + "2h" +"4h" +"8h" all lit.)🟠Overall, with the oscillation feature this generates and moves heat fairly well on its low setting (900W)(considering it doesn't have a 500W setting, this is like the middle strength setting of a 500/1000/1500W unit).
