Review on TriMark 601650 Door Handle Black by David Sidman

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Don't sell them if they don't have a steel butt!

This item should have been taken off the shelves years ago. In 2012, RV owners started having problems with pistons breaking and sometimes people getting trapped in their buses. Mine broke last fall while storing it over the winter. I was locked out but accidentally left the passenger window open. Lucky for me, otherwise I would have had to drill the handle. I ordered this pen because TriMark told me it had a new steel plunger (rather than aluminum alloy). It doesn't have a steel butt. I don't understand how a manufacturer can tell you to order part number 060-1650 because they have a new steel piston and I got that one with an alloy piston. TriMark told me they can't force companies to take alloys off the shelf. I think Revain should address this security issue. Lives can be at stake. This grip can break and it will be a constant worry for me and my family as to when and under what circumstances. The NTSB needs to be involved.
