They're hard to get used to. They must be handled very carefully so that they do not stick to the fingers and compromise adhesion before landing on the eyelid. They are easy to place incorrectly on the lid. They're cut so that the ends have a sharp point rather than a slight curve, so no matter how thin the plastic is, you'll still have little plastic dots on your skin and after a while it starts to itch. To be clear, the issue is not that the material or adhesive is chemically irritating, but how it is cut. Once I learned how to put them on, my eyelid looked fine for the look I was going for, but over time they become so uncomfortable. that I almost never deal with them.
