First of all this turntable is great, just great! Mahogany wood is very smooth and elegant. It's a well-built, reliable machine that produces quality sound. I recommend making sure you're using a quality speaker system, as this will greatly affect the overall sound (obviously, the better the speaker, the better the sound quality). The platter itself is a solid plate of iron with a balanced weight giving it great stability and speed. It can be operated at two speeds, 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, which you can easily adjust according to the playback speed of the record. The belt drive system and DC servo motor create such a smooth, hassle-free system! The player has both a phono stage and a line output - no preamp required, it all depends on your sound preferences. The weight and anti-slip power can be easily adjusted to match the pen cartridge. This is a high quality AT-3600L cartridge that can be easily replaced if needed. I really can't stress enough how smooth and high quality the sound is. No distortion! If you are looking for a 2 speed turntable you will not be disappointed!
