I bought this scale but did not use it for accurate measurements before the return date. Too bad for me because it's completely inaccurate. I recently used it to calibrate ounces on a plastic cup. I used a measuring cup to compare the volume I poured into the cup to the reading. I poured what should have been 2 ounces and it actually showed 2 ounces. Then he watched as he didn't touch anything, it dropped to 1.9, then 1.8, then 1.7 like water was pouring out, but it wasn't. I marked the 2 ounce line on the mug and then added another 2 ounces. It should be a little less than twice the first mark (because the bowl will gradually expand as you lift it). Oddly, I had to keep filling to get a 4 ounce value. When it reached 4, I noticed that there was almost 1 1/2 times more liquid between 2 and 4 than from down to 2. Then the reading gradually dropped again from 4 to 3.9, then to 3.8, then to 3 ,7. I poured water to bring her back at 4 and kept pouring and pouring. I must have poured a good 2-3 ounces before it jumped from 3.7 to 3.8. After making the marks in 2-ounce increments on the cup, I poured it all out, then poured to each line to see if the gauge would match the first fill. None of the lines showed readings near the first fill where I made marks. Bottom line, it's so inaccurate that I can never use it. COMPLETE TRASH!
