Review on 🔌 ECHOGEAR Rotating Outlet Surge Protector 2-Pack: 8 Outlets, Flat Plug, Long Cord, Mounting Holes - Black by Michael Reddy

Bought this to go behind tv I was mounting on the wall. Wanted to hide all my cords. The cord length and flexibility is great, and it’s a nice thick cord. The rotating outlets are great and are securely holding my plugs. The unit itself feels extremely sturdy and high quality. As soon as I pulled it out of the box and played with it I thought about getting another to mount for my workbench.The flaw? Why build such a sturdy unit and include such small mounting holes on the back? I couldn’t get 2 regular sized screw heads through the openings. Had to dig around in my miscellaneous batch of screws to find two that a) were small enough to get through the opening, and b) had no flare on the underside which is why I couldn’t use the screws that were supposed to go with the hollow wall anchors I was using. The small head screws made it hard to get a really solid bite even when not flared (and popping it off the wall when trying to plug anything in). Luckily I was able to mount it next to the wooden cleat I was mounting the tv mount on and was able to wrap a strip of Velcro around the barrel and secure to the tv mount.Better mounting holes would make this a five star application. Or, it’s five star as long as you don’t want to wall mount it.
