Review on πŸ“± Gosky Smartphone Adapter for Microscopes by James Vilchez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Belongs in almost every first aid kit.

I have a full Nikon DSLR but the shutter shakes from using the eyepiece mount on my old scopes. It's really too heavy for anything other than a trinocular. I also lost access to Photoshop at my new company, so my pictures weren't that great. If I did photomicroscopy frequently, I would get Meiji with a real camera. I often use it on the road for inspection. It's small, it gives me a direct way to communicate, I have HDR on most iPhones, it's shutterless. I can take a short video and "tunnel" it through an object and share it. Only 4 for materials because the lens is plastic and it was a bit difficult for me to optimize the position. On my 7 he also wants to press the side buttons. I figured I would have to remove the lens and then center it while looking at my phone's camera, but the lens falls out - that can be a problem in the field. I would pay four times as much for a better lens and possibly a software application. I bet this can be used with Helicon Focus for EDF, I haven't tried it. Apparently modern phones have decent low-light sensors. I had already processed Nikon adapters and they fit. They should also have several sleeves. In fact it was great but I didn't care if it was 25 or 100 if I was on a budget I give it 6 stars because it takes an eBay microscope and does it digitally for just a few bucks.

Pros
  • Built-in WF16mm eyepiece
Cons
  • Long delivery time
