Nights in the mountains of northern New Hampshire can get very cold so I wanted to have a thick blanket on hand for the cold weeks. But I'm a girl with a girly bedroom and wanted something sensible with a bit of "cool"; but also beautiful and delicate. The blanket is beautiful, much nicer than in the photo. The non-Sherpa side is beautifully soft and the design is calm and gentle. The Sherpa side means business and it seems this would be the perfect fit for us. And when not in use it looks great stacked on the bottom of our very Victorian cast iron and brass bed. less than half the money but worth every penny. My husband has been very patient with my girly bedroom phase and he thinks this duvet is a very good choice. Very warm and not overdone with decoration or Geegaws. :) In fact, I love this blanket so much that I'm considering giving it to my sisters for Christmas. And they are picky!
