It takes a bit of practice to figure out how to hold this comb without turning it in your hand (you have to hold it at this base just before the metal part starts to move) but once you get the hang of it, this comb will do the trick. I bought it to have a straight edge for cutting my hair. Most other combs have thin teeth on one end and thicker teeth on the other, and the height of the teeth is slanted. This ridge is uniform in both areas. It is better if you apply it on damp hair. However, I recommend it for cutting bangs no matter what.
