Too much between the shoulders and armholes are not big enough in relation to the size. The padding fits well on the chest, but cats need a lot less between the shoulder blades. I would say that it is designed for a dog in shape. If your cat doesn't get on the couch with it, it's going to hurt itself. The photos here appear to have shrunk the piece on the back to appear like it will fit properly. The attached photos show its old suspension compared to the one I am reviewing.
