If your Wii turns on, then rumbles a little and won't accept discs until you insert it, this is the DVD drive you need. It came to me in 2 days, the screwdriver helped as I had a used Wii and now my Wii works like new! One thing you'll need in addition to the triangular screwdriver (that's the screwdriver that came with the console and this replacement) is a very small Phillips head. A drive isn't necessarily easy to install, but it's not complicated either. I don't think a 9-10 year old kid can install it without damaging the console.
