The average golfer with a +15-20 handicap, so the focus of the golf ball is more on feel than anything else. I've played Pro V1, TP5x and Vice Balls in the past, among others. After learning that Titleist was suing Kirkland for a 4-piece ball, I looked at their 3-piece design. I didn't notice any change in performance compared to other balls.
