TLDR I wouldn't trust them boating. but they will do their work in the rain. 2 out of 4 bags are already broken. I bought these bags with the intention of using them for kayaking, they didn't even get up to pack my receipts. In both cases, a black Velcro strap made the bag waterproof. I assumed these packages had an advantage over Ziploc, but they don't have any features that would make me use them instead of Ziploc. That being said, they'll probably work well as a card case. but Ziploc does it for a fraction of the price.
