Revainrating 5 out of 5

It was just what I needed, although I had some concerns about my own setup!

I love these lights! Installed them in 5 minutes and was immediately amazed at how bright they really can be! Lots of color options, wide range of brightness and very easy installation. I bought a 70-85 inch cable for my 75 inch TV and it works great. It's worth mentioning a few things I was skeptical about, but it didn't become an issue in the end. 1) Current input - My USB rating is 5V, 900mA MAX and the power was adequate, although nowadays 1000mA (or 1A) is required. 2) Overlength - I have installed many LED strips in my career so when I read that these strips cannot be cut I was a bit confused. LED strip lighting is powered by a power transformer, and this transformer is designed for specific LED lights and their quantity, including length! So YES, if you bought a 100ft strip and cut it, you may find that the strips are overstressed and burned out. But if you buy a strip that's no more than 5 feet of the length you need, it can be cut. OPEN COPPER CONNECTIONS MUST CUT A STRIP. The place where RGB+ and some copper is written is brown. you cut that out Right in the center. Don't cut it where you see RGB+ and it has solder connecting the pieces. I would say that only flat areas work. I cut off about 1 foot from mine and the light was fine. This worked even better for me since I run my flashlights at 100mA so the light difference I'm losing gets brighter! It is great! buy you. Plug them into a USB stick before unrolling it to make sure the USB stick is powering it properly!
