This product lowers the pH of the water as advertised. Confirmed by various types of tests. The dosing (with the lid) aims to lower the pH of a full aquarium. However, I prefer to lower the pH of every single gallon of water I add to the tank. Therefore, it is relatively difficult to add just a drop or two. I wish it was in lower concentrations (like a cap per gallon) or with a dropper or something for microdosing. Pros: - Does what it's supposed to. - Easy to use. Disadvantages: - Metered for large amounts of water. It's difficult to add a gallon of water before filling the tank.
