First off, let me say this Shan Zu sharpening set is incredibly good. The packaging is wonderful, safe to give as a gift for the New Year. Presentation is everything and nothing short of perfection. Everything was safe and together. Very nicely presented. I mentioned that this set is heavy. The stones are very durable and long lasting. There is nothing cheap here! The blade guide will work well and with practice you won't need it for long, but it's nice to have one. I am very happy with my purchase. I really think this set is great value for money. It's worth every penny.
