We just bought an RV and a queen short mattress and needed sheets for them. Based on the price and other reviews, I took a chance and bought 3 sets in different colors. As soon as I received them (which was a few days later) I washed all three sets in the washing machine. They were very soft when I examined them and put them in the washing machine. I wonder if the softness will be retained after washing? After drying the sheet set, they appeared to have the same softness. It's not thick, but it's not super thin either. They came out of the dryer NOT wrinkled and folded well. They fit perfectly on my short mattress. They were very soft and comfortable for sleeping. When I got back from my van trip I ordered a different color. Very important.
