This item works fantastic. I have a very, very "simple" overclock on my GTX 1070 (msi post-write + 173MHz core clock and doubling the memory clock). I am running 2 1080p 60Hz displays and one 4K 60Hz display that is always downscaled to 2K. Temperature before installing the fan idle 34 °C, maximum temperature during gaming 70 °C, maximum temperature during Furmark test and GPU test 77 °C, after installation, idle temperature is 28 °C, the maximum temperature while gaming 64°C and the Furmark test fails at 72°C with cooling fans. already in my system and gaming headphones, I don't notice any unusual or loud fan noise, and my microphone doesn't pick up any noise from it. then 3 minutes to remove the side panel from my case, install the part and plug it in while the computer is running. This is mounted directly below my graphics card and directly above my WLAN card and sucks air down from the graphics card. and from the back of the case.
