This filter almost cost me a new engine! Installed on Toyota Tundra 5.7 liters. At first everything went as usual. I've been using fram filters since the truck was new. I am a seasoned mechanic with over 25 years experience in vehicles. With the exception of two oil changes, I've changed the oil myself on this car since it was new. I use Mobil 1 0W-20 oil. Started after the oil change, pressure checked, everything ok, checked for leaks, everything ok. After about 5 miles of driving the oil pressure dropped to the needle above the minimum. I switch off the engine, let it run for about 20 minutes after another leak test and level check. Everything was good. I started again and the pressure was fine again. I drove home only to watch the pressure drop slowly as I drove. I removed the filter when I got home and it was destroyed! It looks like it was made too long and when installed it twisted and collapsed. I AM INCREDIBLY CRAZY! WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN!
