I have a Snap On code reader, its more than I need most of the time. So I did not buy this for reading codes, I bought this to use Bimmer-Code and BimmerLink apps on my phone to access the ECU and rewrite certain values that I can not bear to have active. There are many options one can change buy using these apps. You require a bluetooth device to connect through your OBDII port and this ICAR PRO BLE 4.0 works perfectly and if you want to read codes or clear them you can use other apps for that as well. In fact there are many cool things one can monitor on your car while you drive and display on your phone that your instrument display may not show but will using your phone and an app.I was unsure being much cheaper than many other devices but this was worth every penny to me. In time I will try other apps maybe but for now it served its purpose perfectly. So buy without fear, this works great. Connected with my phone using the 1234 code and if you select the wrong device at first in your app (for me that was bimmer-code) you can easily change it in settings to the correct one. I did pick wrong the first time and it would not connect, took me a few seconds to realize what I had done and find in the settings the correct connection in the list. Once I chose the right one it connected instantly to bimmer-code.So happy I had to post this review. I hope it helps you all, God Bless.
