Serious safety issues

To sum up, the 212CC torque converter has serious safety issues. I installed a 212cc torque converter on a 6.5hp Predator 212 engine. (back position); All parts are used to drive the metal frame car. The torque converter kit included all of the parts needed to install the torque converter, but the kit also included extra bolts that weren't even intended for any part of this build (parts that didn't even fit into any aspect of the kit). The 212CC torque converter was installed fairly quickly, but there was no room for the chain in the plastic cover that came with it (a big oversight), meaning the protective plastic cover cannot be installed without cutting a hole in the plastic cover to fit the chain configuration. I installed a 212CC torque converter without a cover and tested it to make sure it worked before cutting a hole in the protective plastic cover for the chain. After just a few minutes of operation, the drive pulley of the 212CC torque converter unexpectedly completely collapsed and parts were scattered within a 100 meter radius. One chunk hit my arm with enough force to cause significant bruising and pain (despite the fact that I was wearing a winter coat). I'm so thankful the flying bits didn't hit my head! The drive pulley collapsed, which even led to the destruction of the engine drive shaft. The thread of the drive shaft must be recut in order for it to work again. Everything but the brass pulley has been restored and it looks like the damage started with the drive pulley springs. The drive pulley springs look like they have been forced out of the pivot causing the pulley to fly apart. I can't express how I feel about the torque converter kit (drive pulley) failure. A protective cover is intended to be used, but the protective cover cannot be installed without cutting a hole in it for the chain. So the drive pulley seems to be poorly made and the protective cover is definitely not designed to protect any chain driven equipment.
