Review on πŸ’¦ Water-Resistant Kinesiology Tape - RockTape Original - 2-Inch Size by Eric Krull

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Don't spend extra money on it.

Trust me, I love Kinesiology Tape. I've tried almost every brand. I have osteoarthritis in both hands. I live on two acres with lots of trees, sheep, goats, turtle ponds and gardens. That means I work a lot with my hands. During the summer and fall, when I use a pair of pruning shears to source mulberry branches for animals, I often tear tendons and strain the muscles in my forearms at an alarming rate. So I thought I'd give it a try based on the rave reviews. A) It's cotton and doesn't support the skin as well as synthetics. Forget about letting your skin "breathe". There will be time for that when he heals. For really big tears and sprains, use synthetics. B) The glue leaves a lot to be desired. Cheaper tape like SB Sox or Theraband has a lot more stickiness and is more effective in my opinion. I'm not returning it because while it was the most I've ever spent on a sports cartridge, it's my own fault for not sticking with what I know works best. EDIT: Downgraded from three to two stars. I've used three of them since they arrived this afternoon and each has a peeling edge. Terrible glue. I may have to send it back at some point.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
