Just installed one of these in a ceiling fan that had a chain snapped out of it; now it works perfectly again. Luckily I have a husband on hand who figured out how to take the old remote apart and get it to unwire the wires so I can plug them into the appropriate slots on the new remote. (Guidance would be nice here. The wires connect to the controller via pin connections, they can't just be pulled out, and there's no clear point where you can press to detach the wires. ; Which is why my husband took While he pressed on the metal holding the wire, i pulled on it to knock it out, then i immediately plugged it into the port on the new controller with the same number or letter as it came from the old one. It would be a lot easier if (You could include instructions or tips on how to disable the old controller.) Overall we're happy with it, our bedroom fan is working again.
